Board of Directors
Agnieszka Przeszlowska - President
Agnieszka’s professional background is in riparian ecology and watershed science. She and her husband set roots in Ridgway 10 years ago where they enjoy exploring the outdoors with their two young children. They have been involved with several local nonprofits and joined the garden in 2014. They enjoy gardening with friends and connecting to the community through RCG. Agnieszka oversees RCG's administration, grant writing and fundraising. Judi Chamberlin - Treasurer
Judi is a retired physician assistant and infectious disease epidemiologist. She loves to be outdoors, growing her own food and has been a member of the Ridgway Community Garden for 9 years. She serves as the garden treasurer, being responsible for book keeping and financial records. |
Chris Lance - Vice President
Chris helped to develop the downtown RCG in 2009 and continues to find her home away from home at the new Green Street Garden. In Ridgway, she found a close-knit group of other passionate gardeners and cooks with which to grow delicious healthy veggies. Since she hangs out at the garden all the time anyway, she has become the membership coordinator. Chris loves connecting the gardeners of the RCG to the soil, to one another and to the community! Chris is nested in the eastern valley of Cow Creek with a lifelong partner and a fuzzy dog who rules the roost. Aimee Quadri - Secretary
Aimee grew up in the Ridgway area. After leaving to pursue college and career paths, she returned 8 years ago with her family. Her education is in sociology and she has spent the last 17 years working in the nonprofit field. Aimee and her family love the Ridgway community and enjoy taking advantage of the countless opportunities offered. She has been gardening with RCG since 2019 and currently serves as the secretary. |
Doug Unfug
Doug grew up in Denver and has gardened since he was a kid. Later in life he helped to build school and neighborhood gardens and was involved with DUG (Denver Urban Gardens). His professional training is in environmental design and architecture. He and his family moved to Ridgway a little more than a year ago and the first thing he noticed in his new neighborhood was the RCG. He joined and was struck by the incredible people he met at RCG. He brings new energy and enthusiasm to the RCG Board. Dave Peterson
Dave is an Iowa kid who has always had his hands in the dirt. Gardening has been in his life from flowers to food to landscaping. Dave's professional life was spent in physical therapy specializing in the healing art/science of craniosacral therapy. He and his wife have retired to Ridgway two years ago and are looking forward to transforming their pile of rocks backyard into a beautiful edible landscape. |
Jennifer Franz
Jennifer is excited to be a part of such a vibrant community garden! In 2007 she completed a Master Composting course in Denver and has had her hands in the dirt ever since! Jennifer has been involved in various community gardens in Colorado and with Hmong refugees outside of Boston. Jennifer has a particular interest in water reuse in our community, saving seeds and using a permaculture lens to design food forests! Jennifer will be taking the lead on enhancing the children's area of the garden--welcoming in a new generation of gardeners! Professionally, Jennifer works to support the growth of children, families and adults in a variety of capacities as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Jennifer has lived in Ridgway since 2017 with her family--including two daughters who love spending time in the garden too! |
