Board of Directors

Chris Lance - President
Chris helped to develop the downtown RCG in 2009 and continues to find her home away from home at the new Green Street Garden. In Ridgway, she found a close-knit group of other passionate gardeners and cooks with which to grow delicious healthy veggies. Since she hangs out at the garden all the time anyway, she has become the membership coordinator. Chris loves connecting the gardeners of the RCG to the soil, to one another and to the community! Chris is nested in the eastern valley of Cow Creek with a lifelong partner and a fuzzy dog who rules the roost. |
Doug Unfug - Vice President
Doug grew up in Denver and has gardened since he was a kid. Later in life he helped to build school and neighborhood gardens and was involved with DUG (Denver Urban Gardens). His professional training is in environmental design and architecture. He and his family moved to Ridgway in 2019 and the first thing he noticed in his new neighborhood was the RCG. He joined and was struck by the incredible people he met at RCG. He brings new energy and enthusiasm to the RCG Board. |

Agnieszka Przeszlowska - Treasurer
Agnieszka’s professional background is in riparian ecology and watershed science. She and her husband set roots in Ridgway 10 years ago where they enjoy exploring the outdoors with their two young children. They have been involved with several local nonprofits and joined the garden in 2014. They enjoy gardening with friends and connecting to the community through RCG. Agnieszka oversees RCG's administration, grant writing and fundraising. |
Jill McCord - Secretary
Born and raised in Coloraodo, Jill has always loved being outside among the flowers and trees. She further developed her gardening skills as a "flower girl" working for Mt. Crested Butte taking care of the town's flower boxes, park gardens and keeping the town's public spaces invasive weed free. She moved to Ridgway in 2020 and joined the RCG. She enjoys learning and sharing while in the garden and still likes weeding. |

Tricia Savage - Membership Coordinator
Tricia moved to Ridgway in 2022 and values the Ridgway Community Garden for the resources, guidance, and community it provides to help cultivate a productive garden in a challenging high-desert environment. Serving on the board supports her personal vision to improve the natural world and uplift those around her. Professionally, Tricia is an independent technology delivery consultant who brings experience identifying opportunities, improving processes, and implementing practical solutions to support the garden community’s sustainability and continued growth. |
Lisa Erickson - Outreach Coordinator
Joining the community garden was top of Lisa’s list when she and her husband retired to Ridgway from Tucson in 2020. The Ridgway Community Garden is a fantastic place to learn about gardening, build friendships, and grow! Lisa is pleased to have the opportunity to serve on the Board. |

Dave Peterson - Member at Large
Dave is an Iowa kid who has always had his hands in the dirt. Gardening has been in his life from flowers to food to landscaping. Dave's professional life was spent in physical therapy specializing in the healing art/science of craniosacral therapy. He and his wife have retired to Ridgway in 2019 and are looking forward to transforming their pile of rocks backyard into a beautiful edible landscape. |
